Once the art expert has made his estimate, you can decide whether or not to put it up for sale.
The sale mandate :
You will then be asked to sign a sales mandate, also known as a sales requisition. This will be given to you at the time of the valuation or sent to you by email.
This is the contract by which you entrust us with your items for sale.
This sales mandate will include a description of your items and their high and low valuations.
In this contract you will be able to set a reserve price below which the work will not be sold.
This amount will remain confidential. Our sales managers and experts will advise you in the interests of a successful sale.
Legally, this reserve price must be either equal to or lower than the low estimate.
This agreement will also set out the costs involved in organising the auction, the valuation and the cost of transporting, storing and/or insuring your work.
The heads of the art departments are also on hand to discuss the payment arrangements with you before the sale, i.e. the method of payment, the bank account, etc.
The departure of your works with MILLON:
Selling your works of art means transporting them to our offices or warehouses.
If you do not have the possibility of bringing them yourself, MILLON offers you optimised solutions.
You can choose to have the lots collected from your home, as well as furniture storage and unloading services while you wait for your goods to be sold at auction.
MILLON will store your belongings free of charge until the day of the auction.
