ASIAN ART AUCTIONS
Driven by China's economic growth, the Asian art market is currently one of the most dynamic in the world. Works and objects from the Far East - China, Japan, Southeast Asia and Vietnam - are extremely popular with collectors, regularly fetching record prices at public auctions in Paris.
Millon's Asian Art department - co-directed by Tahsi Chang (in charge of buyer relations and descriptive sheets) and Anna Kerviel (who monitors online estimates and inventories) - regularly organises auctions in Paris, in the Drouot district.
It benefits from the expertise of Jean Gauchet, a member of the Oriental Ceramic Society in London and an expert in Asian art for the Chambre européenne des experts-conseil en oeuvre d'art in Paris (CECOA).
Our Asian Art auction calendar
As a leading player in the Asian Art market, Millon organises 8 auctions each year: 4 catalogued sales of Asian Art objects and 4 online auctions on the following themes:
- Art of China (Xia, Shang, Zhou, Qin, Han, Sui, Tang, Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming, Qing dynasties),
- Art of Japan (Kamakura, Muromachi, Azuchi-Momoyama, Edo, Meiji, etc.),
- Art of Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Burma, Thailand, Malay Peninsula, Indonesian archipelago, Philippines, etc.),
- Modern and Contemporary Asian Art.
Buyers from all over the world are increasingly taking part in the success of our Asian art sales sessions.

Our department receives works of art from different cultures for appraisal and auction: Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indian, Khmer, Thai, Vietnamese, Mongolian, Burmese, Nepalese, etc
